Never Miss a Fun Moment
The new 2024 Civic Sedan will offer equal parts style and sportiness, just what fans of the model demand.
Performance Improvements
Despite pitching the Civic sedan as a value-oriented vehicle, the car still offers high performance for motoring enthusiasts. The Civic LX, EX and Sport come equipped with a nimble 2.0 L engine, but the Touring trim is upgraded with a 1.5 L direct injection turbocharged engine producing 180hp and 177 lb.-ft of torque for exceptional power and control in the city and highway.
Drivers get a choice of three driving modes. Normal mode is for regular cruising and general everyday use while ECON mode boosts fuel efficiency. Finally, Sport mode provides more performance and dynamic handling for spirited driving situations. Honda also equips the vehicle with an independent multi-link rear suspension, that increases the Civic’s cornering ability, making it smoother and nimbler around bends.
Moreover, Honda doesn’t make drivers choose between push-button or remote engine start on the new Civic as the vehicle comes equipped with both options. Sensors in the Civic can detect when the key is near, meaning you can get in the car, sit down, press the start button, and go – without taking the key out of your pocket or purse.
Advanced Technologies
Being a major innovator in the auto industry, Honda equips the new Civic sedan with a host of technologies to improve comfort and safety. The LED high- and low-beam headlights, fog lights, and mirror-integrated LEDs make it easier for other drivers to see you during turns.
The Civic also comes with a standard 7-inch colour screen, which is upgradable to a 9-inch version depending on which trim you select and wireless device charging is available on some models. The central console unit is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and you can use it to access Honda’s proprietary HondaLink Assist Automatic Emergency Response system if you are involved in a collision.
Additional safety technology comes in the form of an onboard blind-spot information and a rear cross-traffic monitoring system. This technology uses sensors to detect vehicles in your blind spot on the highway and can provide dynamic alerts when reversing into cross-traffic with poor visibility.
Stylish Design and Personalization
Finally, the new Civic sedan offers a stylish “European” design. In profile, it looks similar to a luxury vehicle, with its sculpted roof and streamlined door handles designed to reduce cabin noise and enhance aesthetics.
Honda has also equipped the vehicle with numerous embellishments to make it more exciting. For example the 2024 vehicle has the option of 16-inch steel rims or 16- or 18-inch aluminum alloy rims with unique spoke patterns. You can also get a chrome tailpipe finisher for additional flair, or include heated power door mirrors to help with frost and condensation. There are numerous colour options available as well – lunar silver, crystal black pearl, Rallye red, and the charismatic Aegean blue metallic.
